Family-Placed Death Notice

CHARLOTTE BEAN BURNS 47 of Atlanta died May 2, 2004. Charlotte received her B. S. in English from the University of Alabama and her M. S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at the University of Alabama and a member of the Atlanta, Dallas, and Austin, Texas Junior Leagues. She was Director of Quality Assurance at RETEC, Inc. Charlotte was preceded in death by her father Jack M. Bean as well as her grandmother Mrs. John Irby Morgan. Surviving are her husband, Keith Burns; mother, Marjorie Bean of Ft. Worth, TX; and beloved cousins. A celebration of Charlotte's life will be held Monday evening May 3rd at seven o'clock at Oglethorpe Hill. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alpha Delta Pi Scholarship Fund, 1386 Ponce de Leon Ave, NE, Atlanta, GA 30306 or Brain Tumor Division of Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University, Building C, Room 4014, 1364 Clifton Rd., NE, Atlanta, GA 30322. The family will receive friends Monday evening from six until the hour of service at H. M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill, 4550 Peachtree Rd., NE, Atlanta, GA 30319, (404) 261-3510.

Charlotte (loved her name, was one of my sister's name too) started with us at Mary Louise Phillips with Mrs. Martin in kindergarten, along with Weldon Turner, Dori Daniel, Rick Thompson, Bill Jarrell, Brent Watkins & many of our other classmates.

Charlotte's memory for me is a kind soul, a blessing, a teammate, a friend. I'm fortunate and honored to have counted her in.
