Steve is survived by his loving wife Janet, his children Aaron and Hannah (Andy), his stepchildren Taylor (Daniela) and Alex, brother Dean, niece Madeline (Andrew), Uncle Bill Dean (Beth), and Aunt Grace Gladden, along with many cousins.

Steve was a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and served as an Air Force officer.
